CMAT Exam Pattern and Syllabus
CMAT aspirants, who are likely to appear in CMAT exam on 28th January, 2018 will have to understand the CAMAT exam pattern and syllabus because it is your fundamental understanding of exam that will help you to prepare in that mode to crack CMAT.
Aspirants should know that there will be 4 sections in CMAT and for the benefit of aspirants following is the table for reference:

Noteworthy is that each question of each section will be worth of 4 marks and in CMAT there will be great rider of negative marking that is for each wrong answer you will get 1 negative mark and that is hell of a lot. All aspirants will agree that minus 1 mark means that you are just not allowed or almost prohibited with guess work in CMAT.
CMAT pattern of last 3 years gives you an idea that most of the time it is language comprehension that troubles you a lot and for that matter you will have to be very strong in vocabulary. CMAT aspirants must note that it is RC in this section which can play a foul game for you but why? Look, language comprehension means that how you understand the grammar, word usages and how do you comprehend that Para? This section of RC will test you for your communication skills and since in businesses it is essential to be the best in language skill thus you will be tested in this section for that.
General awareness section always has been moderate thus you need not worry too much on this section but you need to be updated with current affairs both at India and global levels. Since a brand manager in any company is well versed with his surroundings even on political scenario as that helps him to understand markets which is the ultimate aim of brand manager therefore you are tested in current affairs. It is advisable to read editorials of news papers that will give you the gist of news.
Logical reasoning questions have been moderate to tough and that is also applicable for Quantitative techniques and data interpretation. In this section since numbers and data is involved, it is practices on questions like percentages, numbers, time and distance, algebra with the help of short cuts formula and Vedic maths can help you to ace CMAT.
