Details About MAH CET Exam
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) is conducted every year by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) for admission to the full time Post Graduate Degree Courses in Management in around 400 reputed institutes across Maharashtra. The exam is conducted online.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who meet the following eligibility criteria can apply for MAH CET.
- Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for backward classes of Maharashtra) in any field from any recognized Indian University.
- Candidates in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline are also eligible to apply.
MAH CET Pattern
Generally, MAH CET comprises 200 questions to be answered in 150 minutes. The exam includes four sections, namely, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. The paper will consist of only Multiple Choice Questions, with each correct answer carrying one mark and no negative marking for a wrong answer.

MAH CET 2019 Admit Card
The candidates are expected to carry their admit cards with them when they go to write the test. The admit card is an important document containing

- Date of Birth
- Address
- Roll Number of the candidate
- Signature and Photograph of the candidate
- Test Date
- Test Centre
- Test Time
- Allotted Seat No
- Instructions to be followed during the exam
The candidates will be required to affix a recent recognizable photograph on the Admit Card. In addition to the Admit Card, the candidates must carry one original photo identity proof.
MAH CET Results
After the exam, the MAH CET Scorecard is released, which carries the candidates’ Rank, Scores and Percentiles.
MAH CET Cutoff
After the declaration of the MAH CET Results, the cutoff will be released. The cutoff is the minimum marks or percentile which candidates must secure in order to qualify for counselling rounds. Based on this, the candidates will be called for counselling rounds.
MAH CET Preparation
Candidates aspiring to crack MAH CET must prepare well for the exam. They must attempt mock tests regularly to know where they stand and work on their weak areas. They must learn to manage time and keep the confidence level high. It is important for candidates to understand that they don’t have to attempt all questions and can skip a few they are not sure about. The aim is to reach a higher accuracy level in the questions they do attempt.
