What is MAT?
About MAT Exam
Management Aptitude Test is conducted every year by All India Management Association (AIMA). This test has been conducted since the year 1988 and in 2003 the Govt. of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development recognized its standards. This online objective test is conducted four times in a year in the month of February, May, September & December.
MAT exam Pattern
MAT exam is an objective type test and the allotted time duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes. The All India Management Association (AIMA) prescribes the MAT exam pattern and it is also the conducting body of the exam. The pattern of MAT exam 2019 to be held in the month of December remained the same like the previous exams.
MAT exam Syllabus
MAT exam syllabus comprises of questions based on Language Comprehension, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Critical Reasoning, Mathematical Skills and Indian and Global Environment. However, it should be noted that AIMA does not provide any syllabus and aspirants may peruse the questions and prepare from the past years syllabus.
MAT Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for MAT are:
- Candidates should be a graduate or hold an equivalent degree in any discipline from any recognized University
- Candidates who have completed professional degree e.g. CA/CS/ICWA are also eligible to appear in the test
- Candidates who have appeared in the final year of the Bachelor’s Degree are also eligible to appear in the test
AIMA has not provided any age bar as eligibility criteria to appear in MAT. And it should be noted that mere fulfilment of the eligibility criteria does not ensure eligibility for admission.
MAT 2019 Admit Card
Admit card for MAT 2019 will be released only after completion of the registration process. However, candidates can download their admit card from the official website www.aima.in. To download the hall ticket the candidates shall have to enter their application number, email address and date of birth.
GK for MAT 2019
While preparing for MAT 2019 it may be noted that the basics of the exam is the same although the exam pattern is divided into five sections without any demarcation. The Indian & Global environment section carries 40 marks and the marks scored in this section will not be counted while preparation of the merit list.
